Functional Fitness

Our Functional Fitness program is something we take great pride in at Vo2max. Functional Fitness involves extremely specified athletic capabilities in a multitude of time domains in mixed settings. Attending this class will require an individual to expose themselves to a high volume of mixed/novel environments to simulate competitive events that they will need to experience once competing.

We should not assume that exposure to competitive events is what will make an individual healthier, and live a longer life with higher quality. We believe health will come down to an individuals Aerobic Capacity, movement variability, and muscle mass. Therefore, our Functional Fitness program is designed to enhance those 3 variables while utilizing a varied mixture of Mono-structural endurance, weightlifting, and gymnastics in a competitive environment where community is at the forefront of our values.

TOUGH EXERCISE FOR ADULTS

This class uses basic compound movement patterns that are prescribed appropriately to all skill levels. The goal is the training is to increase muscle mass, improve body composition, develop cardiovascular performance and health, and to develop movement quality.

You will move almost the entire hour during this class. You will also lift a lot of weights. This class is great for advanced people who want to take fitness to the next level, as well as for beginners looking for a place to start their progression towards health and fitness.

All movements will be broken down into components for the progression of movement quality. Only suitable movements will be utilized for each individual during the higher intensity portions of the workouts.

YOUTH FITNESS AND PERFORMANCE

Youth Fitness and Performance is a group program that strives to help our youth:
 
1) Learn the foundational principles of fitness, sports performance training, and health 
2)Acquire high level skills within a fitness setting that will allow each individual to utilize long-term to positively effect their fitness, health, and performance
3)Upon adequate skill acquisition – move towards maximal physical expression in a progressive manner

All classes are instructed by one of our high level coaches. We ensure the most high level and up to date training available to each individual in this class.

This class is designed for ages 8 to 12.

TEENS STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING

Teens Health & Performance is a specialized group program that is designed to assist teens in:

1) Gradually being able to display their peak potential and physical abilities.

2)Cultivating skills and knowledge for long-term application to enhance overall physical expression of health and fitness.

3)Grasping fundamental principles of fitness, athletic development, and health, and put them into practice.

All classes are instructed by one of our high level coaches. We ensure the most high level and up to date training available to each individual in this class.

This class is designed for ages 13 & up.
