A: Thinking I needed to cut out whole food groups in order to lose weight. For me, restrictions just lead to obsessive thinking which then lead to binging and an unhealthy cycle.

A: It may sound self-serving, but the best way to gain confidence is to hire someone that knows what they are doing to show you the ropes. Itโs is the best investment and can increase your competence in the gym way faster than trying to figure it out on your own. That or join a group class. Thereโs nothing like feeling like part of a good exercise community.
